Hey Everybody!
Welcome to MattODonnell.com v1.5! A few weeks ago, I was looking over my LONG SINCE updated website, and I realized that it was severely outdated. So, we’re moving to this space for a little while until my new album is completed. Basically, this is going to be a blog, with a bunch of basic information pertaining to my career so far. I’m going to keep this space updated quite often with what I’m up to musically. For everyday musings and things, you can still head to www.myspace.com/MattODonnell and read the blog over there. That is also where dates of shows will be posted.
In reference to that, I will be traveling to Arkansas in mid/late-May for a series of dates with my friend Quinn Carson as part of the Sleezy Q Jazz Quartet. I’ll post road journals for sure, so be on the lookout for those!
Also, BIGGER NEWS! I spent the last half of May in negotiations to buy a Fodera Emperor bass! This bass is an incredible instrument, and even puts my Acacia Instruments bass to shame, even with all the history I have with it. Look for that bass to make a debut in some Berklee performances in the coming weeks, as well as on the road with the Sleezy Q Jazz Quartet. I’ll leave you with a picture for right now.
